Golden Ratio

A cocktail bar, coming soon to Clinton Hill.

Golden Ratio

Golden Ratio is a cocktail bar in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, where nature’s logic meets inspired technique. From the team behind Michelin-starred Oxalis and the celebrated Place des Fêtes, Golden Ratio blends the elegance of a well-balanced cocktail with the spontaneity of discovery. Built around the principles of the Golden Ratio—symmetry, proportion, and beauty found in the natural world—the bar’s philosophy is rooted in harmony, sustainability, and precision.

Led by Beverage Director Piper Kristensen, Golden Ratio’s cocktail program leans into foraged ingredients, culinary techniques, and both high-proof and zero-proof excellence. Each drink is designed to feel seasonal, singular, and deeply considered—from clarified fig-leaf apple cocktails to un-aged Calvados and grand fir distillations. Chef Nico Russell helms the food program, applying his signature vegetable-forward style to a snack menu built to complement the bar’s rhythm. Think elevated bar fare, reimagined through a fine dining lens.

Cocktails at Golden Ratio

At Golden Ratio, cocktails are more than balanced—they’re designed. Piper Kristensen’s beverage program fuses culinary technique with seasonal and foraged ingredients: fig leaf, sudachi, grand fir, and more. The team clarifies, distills, vacuum-infuses, and pre-batches each drink to maximize consistency while preserving space for deep guest engagement. Every element—down to the spirits, many developed in collaboration with Empirical and Matchbook—is intentional, textural, and complex.

Full-proof and low-ABV/non-alcoholic versions are available for most drinks, reflecting a modern approach to drinking culture and hospitality. It’s a place where curious palates and thoughtful design collide—an experience built to surprise and satisfy in equal measure.
