Golden Ratio is a cocktail bar in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, from the team behind Michelin-starred Oxalis and Place des Fêtes. The bar focuses on seasonal cocktails, zero-proof drinks, foraged ingredients, and thoughtful bar food in an intimate neighborhood setting. Tucked between Fort Greene and Prospect Heights, Golden Ratio is designed as a place that can move with the night — whether for a quick drink, a slower dinner, or a few rounds that turn into a longer evening. The room draws inspiration from seasonality, hospitality, and the balance between precision and spontaneity.

Led by Beverage Director Piper Kristensen, Golden Ratio’s cocktail program explores culinary technique, seasonal distillations, clarified cocktails, and uncommon ingredients inspired by the natural world. Both high-proof and non-alcoholic offerings change frequently alongside a vegetable-forward food menu from Chef Daniel Martignon. The result is a bar that moves fluidly between precision and spontaneity — grounded in seasonality, hospitality, and a deep attention to detail.

Cocktails at Golden Ratio

At Golden Ratio, cocktails begin with ingredients rather than spirits. The beverage program is built around seasonal produce, foraged ingredients, preservation projects, and house-made distillations that explore an ingredient from multiple perspectives. Drinks are shaped by fermentation, clarification, texture, and extraction, creating cocktails that feel both familiar and unexpected. Many ingredients pass through multiple lives within the program, reflecting the team’s commitment to seasonality, creativity, and thoughtful use of resources.
Led by Beverage Director Piper Kristensen, the menu is designed as a parallel exploration of spirited and non-alcoholic drinking. Rather than treating zero-proof offerings as an afterthought, both versions receive equal attention and are developed side by side. The result is a beverage program that rewards curiosity while remaining grounded in hospitality — thoughtful, approachable, and constantly evolving with the seasons.
